The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the black color of the grape that produces this wine’s rich and opulent color. Best served just below room temperature, the smooth, fruity characteristics of our Merlot pair well with a variety of dishes, whether they are rich and full-flavored meats, or subtly prepared Hors d'oeuvres; an absolute great choice for any dining occasion. It nips the nose with delicious notes of chocolate and cinnamon. Our choice of oak adds a little lingering finish to the full-bodied wine flavor.
