Our Cabernet Sauvignon wines are made from thick skinned grapes, which supply both the color and flavor characteristics. These grapes mature slowly, thus benefiting from the prime conditions of an extended cool-to-warm summer season along the Pacific Ocean. The harvested grapes produce a very rich, dark red colored wine accompanied by a complex, full-bodied flavor intensity. There is richness in its smooth, soft texture filled with flavorful notes of blackberry, black currant and black plum that nicely balance the natural sweetness, acidity and tannin. Known as the “king of red wines” Cabernet Sauvignon grapes revel in the warm California sunshine, making it the most planted varietal red grape in the State of California. But the uniqueness of Monterey is still detectible and can be tasted in every glass of our Cabernet Sauvignon Wine.
